We bought a case of this twine to package tracking sheets and seedsaving envelopes when we first opened shop in ’22 and it… turned out to not be great for packaging. But on the plus side, we haven’t found anything better for tying up tomatoes, training cuke vines, or supporting heavy squash.

We’ve been enjoying using this recycled, recyclable, and compostable twisted kraft paper twine in our own garden, and wanted to share it with you all. It lasts for several months in the garden but biodegrades on its own in approximately a year—that means it won’t girdle your trees if you use it to support fruit-laden branches!

Our supplier no longer carries this (I believe it’s been discontinued) so stock up while you can. $0.50/yard – cut generously and contiguously
